I first became involved in promoting the ‘Drive sober’ for the Community Alcohol Action Programme, at a time when the drink / drive statistics were scaringly high. This led to working with the then Road Safety Coordinator, Lynette Hines, where we initiated a campaign aptly named ‘Project PISST’. Funded by Tauranga City and Western BOP District Councils’ and endorsed by Police, the project saw eye-catching posters installed in frames in over 70 licensed premises in the region. We updated posters annually with new material and teamed it with a wide-reaching multi-media campaign (signage, radio, drink coasters, adverts, pocket cards and promotional items handed out by Police at checkpoints).
My history involves working on an eclectic range of drink / drug awareness campaigns for various road safety coordinators and local authorities. I have a multitude of resources available for use, or would be happy to come up with a new concept to suit your target.
